Ghayal Once Again: Story, Review and Verdict

Sunny Deol has returned to Bollywood with a classic hit he played years ago entitled Ghayal. This is also his second film as a director, the first one being Dillagi, which couldn’t do much well in the box office. We can all see him in his classic blockbuster movie not only as an actor, but also as a director.

We all know the story of Ghayal, one man against a powerful businessman. This one is also similar to the same theme. Narendra Jha plays the negative role of a wealthy businessman.

Ghayal Once Again: Story, Review and Verdict

The movie starts with where it left in the first part. Even though the first half is a bit slow and might get boring, it catches its pace in the second half. There’s full of action and fights in the movie which has been able to live up to our expectation. Sunny Deol plays a strong role in the movie like he did in his previous part. Narendra Jha’s role as well in the movie is great and have performed flawlessly in the negative role. Actors such as Om Puri and Joe D’Souza also make appearance in the movie in a short but important role.
The movie leaves ups with a bit disappointment as we all are expecting there to be classic catchy dialogues as in Ghayal. However, the actions and fight scene in the movie has made the movie worthwhile.

If you’re a Sunny Deol fan, the movie is a must. It is suggested to have lower expectation from the movie regarding dialogues, but the story and action will satisfy you.

Rating and Verdict

The movie is not going to be a mainstream success. But the movie may collect a profitable sum from the screens where the movie is being released. Having a sequel to a movie after such a long duration can affect the movie’s capital and investment as the audience’s taste have certainly changed.

My Rating

The movie deserves a better of 3.0 out of 5 stars.
