My Review and Perception

The movie is directed by Edward Zwick who’s directed movies like Blood Diamond and Legends of the Fall. This movie is a biographical drama thriller movie. Based on the career of Bobby Fischer and his breakdown, the movie has really shown a lot of good view and perception towards a diseased human and the beautiful game of chess.

Tobey Maguire, whom we know from the Spider-man movies, has done a great job portraying the character of real person Bobby Fischer. His will to win Spassk, played by Liev Schreiber, is very full of thrill and amusements. Peter Sarsgaard and Michael Sarsgaard are in the movie as Tobey’s sidekick. They monitor every act and nature of the paranoid Fischer.

The movie is a must watch for all the chess game lover. Tobey’s acting in the movie is ofcourse phenomenal, and the screenplay of the movie is just awesome. Any Bobby Fischer fan will definitely enjoy the movie a lot for sure.

My Rating

The movie deserves 4 out of 5 stars for a great presentation of Bobby Fischer’s biography.
